Errors and fixes

What your tool says when something goes wrong, and what to do.

Updated 15 October 2026Needs an active membership

Every problem has one code, one message and one next step. The wording is the same in your AI tool, in the CLI and on the website.

Two kinds of errors#

  1. Before the tool runs. The server refuses the request: the sign-in is missing or expired, the connection was revoked, the membership does not allow access, or there were too many requests.
  2. Inside a tool. The tool ran and has something to say: a product that is not there, a file that was not found.

Before the tool runs#

The server answers with an HTTP status and a code.

HTTPCodeWhat your tool or the CLI shows
401not_signed_inYou're not signed in to Orvio. Run orvio login.
401authorization_revokedThis connection was revoked. Sign in again to create a new one: orvio login.
401session_expiredYour Orvio session expired. Sign in again with orvio login; nothing else changes.
403no_membershipYour account doesn't have a membership, so source can't be retrieved. Browsing and previews stay open at https://orvio.design. Join at https://orvio.design/membership.
403membership_endedYour membership ended on 2026-10-13. Projects you started stay licensed; new pulls, updates and new projects need a membership: https://orvio.design/membership.
403membership_confirmingWe're still confirming your membership with Lemon Squeezy. Try again in a minute; there's no need to pay again.
403seat_endedYour team seat ended on 2026-10-13, so Orvio access has stopped for this email. Projects you started stay licensed. See https://orvio.design/membership.
403free_endedYour free membership has ended. Projects you started stay licensed; new pulls need a membership: https://orvio.design/membership.
403account_suspendedThis account is suspended, so Orvio access is paused. If you think this is a mistake, email support@orvio.design.
429rate_limitedToo many requests in a short time. Try again in 30 seconds.
503service_unavailableOrvio isn't responding right now. Nothing was changed; try again in a few minutes.

Inside a tool#

The tool returns an error result with code, message and next. invalid_input is reported as a protocol error (JSON-RPC -32602); the others are tool results flagged as errors.

CodeMeansThe server saysWhat to do
release_withdrawnThe whole product was taken down for now.Sotto isn't available right now. Projects already started with it stay licensed.Search the catalog for something similar with search_products.
product_unavailableNo listed product has that identifier. There's no available product called "sotoo".Search the catalog with search_products.
release_replacedA newer release was published since the version you named or the cursor you used.Sotto 0.1.2 was replaced by 0.1.3. Orvio offers the latest release only.Call the tool again without a release to use 0.1.3.
path_not_foundThe release has no such file, page, component or token.Sotto 0.1.3 has no "source/css/missing.css".Use get_product or list_release_files to see what's included.
service_unavailableOrvio or something it depends on is not answering.Orvio isn't responding right now. Nothing was changed; try again in a few minutes.Try again in a few minutes.
integrity_errorA file did not match what the release records, so no bytes were returned.Orvio isn't responding right now. Nothing was changed; try again in a few minutes.Try again in a few minutes.
too_largeThe file is too large to send in one result. That file is too large to send in one piece.Read it in ranges with read_file offset and length, or download the ZIP: https://orvio.design/products/sotto
ambiguous_identifierThe name matches more than one page, component or token.More than one match for "pricing".Use one of: sotto/component/pricing@css-pricing, sotto/component/pricing@js-pricing.
invalid_inputThe arguments do not match the tool's schema, or the cursor is not valid.limit must be at most 500.Fix the input and call the tool again.

Fixes that work most often#

  • Start a new chat. An earlier chat may remember an older answer.
  • Search first. If a product, page or token is not found, ask for the product and copy the identifier from the result.
  • Drop the cursor. After release_replaced, call again without it.
  • Check the membership. Open Account → Billing.
  • Reconnect. After authorization_revoked, start from your tool and approve again.

Still stuck?#

See Troubleshooting, or write to support@orvio.design. Never include tokens or passwords in a message. Orvio's messages never contain them.
