Quickstart
From membership to your first prompt, in four steps.
At the end, your AI tool can read a product from Orvio and you have seen its design tokens.
Before you start#
- An Orvio account.
- An active membership: Individual, Team, or free access granted by Orvio. See Membership and access.
- An AI tool that supports remote MCP servers with browser sign-in. Claude is tested. Or Node 20 or later, for the CLI.
Steps#
Join Orvio
Choose a plan on the Membership page. When the payment is confirmed, your account has access.
Connect your AI tool
For Claude, follow Connect Claude. The server address is:
Server addresshttps://mcp.orvio.design/mcpYour tool opens an Orvio page in your browser. Sign in and choose Allow. You approve once per tool.
Ask for a product
Try itYour first requestUsing Orvio, find a product for a calm editorial website and show me its pages, then its colour tokens with their values.Works with Remote MCP·Replace the highlighted partsCheck the result
Your tool should list real pages and real token values from the product. If it only shows a count, start a new chat. If something else goes wrong, see Troubleshooting.
Prefer the terminal?#
Terminal
$ npm install -g orvio $ orvio login $ orvio pull sotto
orvio pull sotto adds the product's current release to ./sotto. See Pull into a project.
What next#
- Prompt library: requests you can copy.
- Identifiers: ask for exactly one page, component or token.
- The licence in practice: what you may do with what you pull.
