Membership and access
Who can read source, what a membership covers, and what happens when it ends.
Source access follows your membership. Every request your tool or the CLI makes is checked against it.
What is free#
Anyone can browse the catalog, read product pages and open live previews. You do not need an account for that.
What needs a membership#
Reading source through an AI tool, pulling a product with the CLI, and downloading a ZIP all need an active membership. An active membership reaches the whole catalog, at each product's latest release.
Kinds of membership#
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Individual | One person, paid monthly or yearly. Yearly billing gives two months free. |
| Team | Five people: the owner and four teammates the owner adds. Everyone has the same access. Only the owner manages billing and teammates. |
| Free access | Granted to a person by an Orvio admin. It gives the same access while it lasts and can be ended. |

What you see without access#
If your membership is missing or has ended, your tool or the CLI gets an access error with one of these codes and a next step:

| 401 | authorization_revoked | This connection was revoked. Sign in again to create a new one: orvio login. |

| 403 | no_membership | Your account doesn't have a membership, so source can't be retrieved. Browsing and previews stay open at https://orvio.design. Join at https://orvio.design/membership. |
| 403 | membership_ended | Your membership ended on 2026-10-13. Projects you started stay licensed; new pulls, updates and new projects need a membership: https://orvio.design/membership. |
| 403 | membership_confirming | We're still confirming your membership with Lemon Squeezy. Try again in a minute; there's no need to pay again. |
| 403 | seat_ended | Your team seat ended on 2026-10-13, so Orvio access has stopped for this email. Projects you started stay licensed. See https://orvio.design/membership. |
| 403 | free_ended | Your free membership has ended. Projects you started stay licensed; new pulls need a membership: https://orvio.design/membership. |
| 403 | account_suspended | This account is suspended, so Orvio access is paused. If you think this is a mistake, email support@orvio.design. |
| 429 | rate_limited | Too many requests in a short time. Try again in 30 seconds. |
| 503 | service_unavailable | Orvio isn't responding right now. Nothing was changed; try again in a few minutes. |
Heads-ups that do not stop you#
Two situations only warn you. Your request still works.

When a membership ends#
The rule is: keep what you built, start nothing new. Projects you already started stay licensed. You can no longer pull, download or fetch products. See The licence in practice.
Teams#
When the owner removes a teammate, that person's access stops at once. Their started projects stay licensed. When a Team ends, this applies to all five people.
Check your status#
Open Account → Billing on the website. For a quick check from a terminal, run orvio info. It prints your email and your plan.
